Training Tracks
Most of our residents are in the combined AP/CP training track, an integrated program with Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology rotations in each year. We also offer an Anatomic Pathology-only (AP-only) or Clinical Pathology-only (CP-only) 3 year program. In addition to the rotation requirements, all combined AP/CP and AP-only trainees must successfully meet the ACGME’s autopsy policy by the time of graduation. Trainees are also required to satisfactorily present research or quality project at a local, regional, or national meeting. While not mandatory, trainees are highly encouraged to participate in clinical, translational or basic science research. Residents may apply for Department-sponsored funds to help cover the cost of their project and travel to present their research at a national meeting.
