University Hospital of Brooklyn
University Hospital of Brooklyn (UHB) is quaternary care institution that is the principal teaching hospital of SUNY Downstate Medical Center. The University and the Hospital are proud homes to medical innovation and sophisticated clinical care. The hospital has approximately 325 beds and is a parent institution to over twenty residencies and fellowships. UHB is the "home base" for our residents. It is a 376 Bed academic hospital, with an attached medical school, nursing school, and college of health related professions. Residents spend most of their time at UHB at Kings County Hospital, with access to both clinical and basic science research opportunities. Residents rotate in Surgical Pathology, Cytology, Hematopathology, Neuropathology, Autopsy, Transfusion Medicine, Chemistry, Microbiology, Laboratory Management, and Informatics.
